🤔 Could NFL players really play in the NBA?

⚾ How baseball ruining a major moment

Feel Good Moments

🏀 WNBA expansion is coming

Women’s basketball is finally getting the love & attention it deserves. The WNBA is planning to expand to Toronto in 2026 & a team is coming to Oakland in 2025. Rumors are also circulating that Portland is attempting to revive a bid for an expansion franchise as well.

Baseball’s next big thing happens this weekend

Paul Skenes has been dominating minor league baseball since being the #1 draft pick in the 2023 draft. The 6’6 235 lb pitcher throws a 100 mph fastball & is the most hyped pitching prospect we’ve seen since potentially Stephen Strasburg. His meteoric rise continues this weekend as he’s been officially promoted to the majors & will start his first career game.

NBA vs NFL Beef

NBA and NFL players were beefing almost as hard as Drake & Kendrick this week over something Austin Rivers said. Austin stated on the Pat McAfee Show that 30 current NBA players could play in the NFL and that zero NFL players could play in the NBA.

This caused JJ Watt to feel some kind of way.

JJ has since apologized and he did exactly what he hates to see people do: read a headline & not watch what was actually said. But, it got us thinking.. who are six NFL players who could actually play in the NBA?

  • Myles Garrett

    • It doesn’t matter what position Myles plays on the court, he’ll be the strongest one out there. If he boxes you out, you’re not getting that rebound.

  • Joe Burrow

    • Remember when Joe Burrow was hitting shots inside of a ballroom back when he was at LSU? He’s had plenty of time to work on his jumper with his injuries & we know he’s got the corner-3 locked down.

  • Stefon Diggs

    • Diggs has went viral a few times for moments on the court ranging from private workouts to open runs with actual NBA trainers. He’s already got elite footwork & when you combine that with his jumper, he could be a problem.

  • Micah Parsons

    • Parsons talked a BIG game before NBA All-Star weekend. While he may have looked like the dude at your local YMCA refusing to pass the ball & chucking up everything, he did capture the NBA Celebrity All-Star game MVP with 37 points & 16 rebounds.

  • Keon Coleman

    • Coleman is new to the NFL, but his high school footage is pretty insane. An athletic guard who can jump out the gym and shoot a bit, Coleman would fit nicely in a fast-paced NBA offense.

  • Tee Higgins

    • Tee was a finalist for Mr. Basketball in high school & every few months his high school basketball highlights go viral. He had offers from Louisville, Tennessee & Auburn for college basketball but ultimately chose Clemson for football.

How the MLB is ruining a major moment

I mentioned how Paul Skenes is debuting this week in the majors after being drafted #1 overall just last year, but major league baseball is already botching his career.

Baseball has a major problem with showcasing their biggest stars & making the casual fans care. With Skenes debuting happening on Saturday at 4:05PM EST, it’s not going to be on national television. Even worse? It’s going to be “blacked out” for local markets in Pittsburgh.

Imagine Wemby’s first game in the NBA not being broadcast nationally. Imagine not getting to see Caleb Williams game nationally or in Chicago when he takes the field later this year. It’s one of the most frustrating elements for baseball as it continues to make it difficult for new fans to flock to their screens for future stars.

That’s a wrap

It’s time to head into the weekend and enjoy the playoffs in the NBA & NHL, some baseball action and pretend that your favorite team is going to win it all this year in the NFL.
