🏀 2024 NBA Playoffs

The NBA Playoffs have been electric this year. We’ve had incredible game after incredible game, and with the Denver Nuggets losing last night we’re going to have a brand new champion this year.

Here’s the important games you should be looking out for as we head into the conference finals for the East & West:

🏀 Major WNBA Match-ups

While the majority of the focus has been around Caitlin Clark, the WNBA has been off to an amazing start. Caitlin Clark has been put through the gauntlet of the toughest teams to start off her career, and outside of turnover issues, she’s adjusted fairly well for a rookie.

There still aren’t a ton of WNBA games on regular TV, so I recommend checking out the WNBA league pass to catch more every week. Here’s some of the best match-ups to watch this week:

The NBA Playoffs have been juicy. The storylines have been incredible and the action has been even better. Let’s examine the best storylines left in the NBA playoffs.

6 different champions in 6 years

It’s wild to think about, but no defending champion has made it past the second round in the NBA Playoffs in the last 5 post-seasons. The Denver Nuggets continued that trend after Minnesota battled back from a 20-point deficit.

NBA players are some of the best trolls

After his game 7 victory against the New York Knicks last night, Tyrese Haliburton embraced his inner troll and wore a shirt depicting Reggie Miller’s famous pose against the Knicks.

Anthony Edwards has NEXT

Anthony Edwards has been a bonafide superstar the entire NBA playoffs. From trash-talking opponents on the court to leading his team to epic comebacks, he even delivers on the mic after games. Whether they’re winning or losing, Edwards has proven that he’ll do whatever it takes to motivate his team.

The Celtics have all the pressure

Jayson Tatum has been a dominant young player in his career but at 26, the court of public opinion has been turning against him. Tatum has an opportunity to take the best team that’s ever been assembled around him for a chance to claim his first NBA Finals. Can he & the Celtics deliver? Or will it be yet another disappointing ending for basketball fans in Boston?

Luka + Kyrie, against all odds

When the NBA playoffs started, no one outside of Dallas was projecting the Mavericks to have a shot at the NBA title. Now? They’ve got a puncher’s chance. The duo of Luka & Kyrie have been great, but even when the great defense from OKC stifled them, PJ Washington and the supporting cast stepped up major. Can Dallas shock the world?

The most dominant athlete no one is talking about

When we’re talking about the most dominant athletes right now, we have to mention Nelly Korda.

We’re not even in June yet, and Nelly has already won six times on the LPGA Tour this year. She’s only the 4th golfer in LPGA TOUR history to do so before June 1st.

Of her last seven starts on the LPGA Tour, she’s won six of them. The one that she didn’t win? She finished tied for 7th. Her next event will take place at Lancaster CC on May 30th for the Women’s US Open. She’s never played there, but if she pulls off another win.. it’ll be tough to find words.

The Women’s US Open will be viewable on Peacock & USA, so make sure you tune in for potential history.
